Anthony J. "Tony" Stupar Obituary
Stupar, Anthony J. (Tony)Age 57 of Winthrop Harbor passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan, IL. Tony was born in Waukegan, IL May 26, 1954, The son of Joseph L. and Joan (nee Jorgensen) Stupar. He spent his early life in Waukegan where he graduated in 1972 and later relocated to Winthrop Harbor. On July 4,1986 he married Kathleen (nee Miller). Tony was currently employed for 38 years at AkzoNobel. During his years of service which started as a Resin Operator. His current position being Materials Managers. He loved to ride his Harley. Tony was an avid sports fan who loved fishing,The Chicago Bears, Blackhawks,College Basketball and Nascar. He loved cooking and sharing his receipes with everyone. He especially liked the volunteer work he did at the W.H VFW Post #7448. His time spent there there with his friends sharing his love of music & conversation is what he enjoyed the most. He also enjoyed playing Trivia at Mikki's Ratt Race and socializing with friends at OP's Lighthouse.
He will be sadly missed by his very close friends Chris, Diane, George, Clara, Frank, Danny, Debbie, Dennis, Denise, Merrill. Along with his favorite people Joyce and Flo. Tony was touched by so many they cannot all be named. Tony is survived by his loving wife Kathleen; one son who he adored Anthony (Carey) of Kenosha: his step-children Scott (Denise) Barnes of Zion and Kimberly (Andy) VandeWalle of Green Bay. 3 Grandchildren and best buddy his Lab Rufus. He is further survived by his Mother Joan Stupar, Brothers Joseph (Mary) Stupar of Ingleside. Frank Stupar of Park City, Jeff (Casey) Stupar of Mountain Home Arkansas. Sisters Kathy Goverkar of Kenosha and Diane (Jim) Waldow of Winthrop Harbor. Mother-In-Law Barbara Miller of Winthrop Harbor, Sister-In-Law Karen (Robert) Vogler of Las Vegas Aunts, Uncles and several Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by his Father Joseph L. Stupar. Father-In-Law Edward J. Miller. Brother-In-Laws Robert Crespo & Lawrence Miller Both Paternal & Maternal Grandparents. some Aunts, Uncles his ex-wife Pamela Ray and 3 dear friends.
A Visitation will be Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 9-noon at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations in his name to the , Save-a-Pet St. Jude Hospital or .
