Nichols, Ryan James Ryan J. Nichols, 34 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away suddenly Monday August 22, 2011 from injuries received when struck by an automobile while working on the highway for IDOT in Woodstock, IL. He was born December 12, 1976 in Libertyville, IL the son of James and Jacalyn (Robertson) Nichols. He was a graduate of University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a degree in civil engineering and had worked for the past eight years as a civil engineer for IDOT. Ryan was an avid Packer fan; a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and son-in-law. On Jan 15, 2005 he married Christine Koza in Milwaukee, WI. He is survived by his devoted wife Christine; his beloved children Hudson, and twins Braxten and Broden; his dear parents James and Jacalyn Nichols of Antioch, IL; his fond brother Jason (Jenny) Nichols of Kenosha and their son Alec and sister Courtney (André) Sears and their children Camden and Kenley; his loving maternal grandmother LaVerne Robertson; his dear father and mother-in-law Anne and Anthony Koza; his sister-in-law Reneé (Peter) Volpendesta and his nephew Gregory. Funeral Services for Ryan will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday Aug. 27, 2011 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL with Rev. Fr. James E. Merold officiating. Private cremation will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM Saturday until the time of services.
