Phillips, Elizabeth Chisholm Elizabeth ("Bette-Anne") Chisholm Phillips, age 77, died peacefully at Condell Hospital on July 26, 2011, with her husband of 54 years at her side. A resident of Libertyville since 1968, and Winchester House since 2007, Elizabeth was born on April 16, 1934, in Waltham, MA. Elizabeth attended Boston College in 1953, and received a degree from Barat College, Lake Forest, in 1982. Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Libertyville, and a regular visitor to Marytown, Mundelein. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Peter; daughters Mary Ann Phillips and Melissa (Don) Henderson of Libertyville; son John Phillips of Wauconda; Kerry Deardorff and grandsons Austin and Ethan Deardorff of Libertyville; siblings Mary Jane, Dorothy, Helen, and William, all of Falmouth, MA; and many dear friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by two sons, Peter, Jr. in 1958, and Peter Gerard Francis in 2007; parents James P. and Melissa MacLean Chisholm; beloved aunt Mary Ann MacLean Wynot; brother James P. Chisholm, Jr.; and nephew Carl K. Chisholm. The Phillips Family expresses their profound gratitude to the caregivers and volunteers at Winchester House and Condell Hospital. With a strong interest in reading and a lively intellect, Elizabeth was an avid library user. In lieu of flowers, you may consider a donation in her name to the Cook Memorial Public Library District, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 2nd, at St. Joseph's Church in Libertyville, followed by fellowship and refreshments in the Koenig Center. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery, alongside her son Peter, will be at a later date.
