Ziemba, Walter Michael 74, of Walnut California passed away November 26th, 2010 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Chicago, Illinois of September 17, 1936 to Walter J. and Stelp Ziemba. He attended Holy Rosary Catholic School from 1st to 8th Grade and graduated from Waukegan High School in 1954. From 1954 to 1959 he served his country as an Airman in the US Air Force. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Roosevelt University and earned an MBA from Pepperdine University in 1983. He retired from Westvaco after 41 and a half years of service. He is survived by his wife Karen, his children Brenda, Dublin, Ireland, David, Woodinville, Washington, Greg (Margery), Orange, California, and Cheryl, Riverside, California, and eight grandchildren, his mother, his sister Marcia (Tim) Kearney, El Paso, Illinois, his brother John (Laura), Houston, Texas, and his dear cousin Sister Paul Francis Bailey, BVM, Dubuque, Iowa. Walter's time to serve the Lord was never a bother, an obligation, nor a distraction. Since being part of the St. Lorenzo Ruiz Catholic Community, Walnut, California, since 1992, Walter tirelessly served several ministries: He was an Eucharistic Minister, he ministered to the sick and dying, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Bible Study Group. Mass of Christian Burial was accorded on Friday, December 3rd, 2010, at St. Lorenzo Ruiz Catholic Parish, and interment followed at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Rowland Heights, California. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Father Donald Ziemba S.J.
