Amann, Sharon Fay (nee Harris) 49, of Zion, IL passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 9, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Cancer. Sharon was President of Armor Systems Corp. until the time of her illness. Sharon was born on January 13, 1962 in Waukegan, IL to Norman B. Harris Sr. and Carol Fay Harris (nee Roam). She married the love of her life Jeffery S. Amann on June 13, 1992 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waukegan, IL. Sharon enjoyed traveling, cooking, gambling, riding on the back of her husband's Harley, and most of all spending time her family. Sharon is survived by her loving and devoted husband Jeffery, her mother in-law Nieta Hella of Beach Park, children Ronald A. Amann of Phoenix, AZ, Joshua S. Amann of Gurnee, Christina R. Amann of Kenosha, WI, granddaughter Alicia R. Amann of Kenosha, brother Norman B. Harris Jr., of Beach Park, sisters Patricia A. Wells (Wayne) of Gurnee and Janice L. Toporek (Steve) of Cornell, WI, and brothers and sisters-in-law Sandra L. (Bruce) Tapio-Quall of Gurnee, Ronald G. (Janice) Amann and Debra J. (Robert) O'Connell of Beach Park, favorite Aunt Barbara "Auntie B" Sexton of Waukegan, Aunt Mary Weston of Pleasant Grove, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Sharon touched the lives of all who knew her and will be missed by many. Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents Tollie and Ethel Roam, Bart and Stella Harris, parents Norman B. Sr. and Carol F. Harris and sister in-law Mary M. Harris. Special thanks to the staff from Star Hospice and her many caregivers. Memorial donations in Sharon's memory may be made to Star Hospice, Lake County Adult Treatment Program, or Prince of Peace Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, January 12, at Prince of Peace Church, 2720 McAree Rd. Waukegan, IL and from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Friday, January 13, with memorial service to follow. Internment will be at North Shore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL.
