Louis G. Albano, 87 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 at his home. He was born June 16, 1921 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Barney and Mary (Lotito) Albano, moving to Salem, WI in 1947 and to Antioch in 1952.

During WWII he served in the U.S. Army. Before his retirement Louis was a union carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union Local #1539 of DesPlaines, IL. He loved his work, farming and flower raising, the Cubs and Bears, Golf, NASCAR Racing and other sports. On January 26, 1980 he married Lillian "Bunny" Comellar Mihovilovich in Antioch.
Survivors include his wife, Bunny; five children, Richard (Judy) Albano of Gordon, WI, William (Debra) Albano of Solon Springs, WI, Linda (Joe) Torri of Antioch, Russell (Maria) Albano of Gordon, WI and Lou Ann (Jim) Holmes of Spring Grove, IL; seven step children, John (Donna), Jim, Joe (Carol), Jerry (Kim), Jeff (Natalie), Mike (Cheri) and Mary Ann Mihovilovich; his sister Ann (Wynn) Rowley; and brother, Thomas Albano; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriet in 1976.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday October 3, 2008 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St, (Rte 83) with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM. Cremation will follow the services. Please sign our guest book at www.strangfh.com.
