Reid, James Larry "Jim" 69, of Waukegan, IL, formerly of Zion, IL, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Vista East Medical Center with his family by his side. Jim was born November 28, 1942, in Mercer County, W. VA. He married Linda Hunter on August 7, 1966, in Long Beach, CA. Jim served with the United States Navy in Vietnam. He retired from Pepsi-Cola after over 30 years of employment and then went to work with the Durham Bus Company. Jim thoroughly enjoyed driving for school children. He also loved motorcycling with his wife, Linda, and they especially enjoyed viewing the wild deer at the Illinois Beach State Park. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda; children, Robin (John) Mack of Richmond, VA, David (Gerri) Reid of Zion, IL, James (Raechelle) Reid of Waukegan, IL, and Tracy Reid of Winthrop Harbor, IL; grandchildren, Marcus, Amber, Terrance, Dante, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Mary, and Alexis; brother, Ron (Nancy) Reid of Kingsport, TN; sister, Betty Barbour of MI; and nieces and nephews as well as other family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nash and Nancy Reid; a brother-in-law and a cousin. Funeral Services are private for the family.
