He was born June 22, 1928 in Unnau, Germany and has been a resident of Gurnee, IL for the past 43 years. Heinz is survived by his wife of 58 years Lore nee: Mueller-Spaeth Habel; Children, Judy Habel of Waukegan, Illinois, Brigitte (Friedrich) Kuehn of Siegen, Germany, The Late Ernst-Otto Halbel, Fred (Carla) Habel of Kelsey, Montana, Christa (Jim) March of Gurnee, Illinois, Steve (Heidi) Habel of Gurnee, Illinois, and Paul (Tammy) Habel of Gurnee, Illinois; Grandchildren, Rebecca, Ana Alissa, Thomas, Jonathan, Rachel, TJ, Missy, Stephanie, Kaitlin, Corey, Taryn, and Jesse; Brothers and sisters, Gertrude (Adalbert) Mueller Kenosha, Wisconsin, Brigitte (late Heinz) Brinkman of Ontario, Canada, The Late Linda Habel, Bert (Gisela) Habel of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dr. Theo (Ruth) Habel of Lacrosse, Wisconsin, Ebe (Eileen) Habel of Kenosha, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 10 AM Sat., June 16, 2012 at the Village Church of Gurnee, 1319 Hunt Club Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031.
