Camphouse, George R. 67 years old, lifelong resident of Antioch, IL passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his home. He was born August 25, 1944 in Chicago the son of the late George A. and Elaine (Novotny) Camphouse. George had proudly served in the U.S. Navy, and later worked in sales as a printing broker for over 20 years. He enjoyed boating on the Chain of Lakes and on Lake Michigan; also fishing and playing tennis in his younger years. On September 23, 1962 he married Donna Yanca in Waukegan. He and his wife enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Donna; his son, Tim of Antioch; and his siblings, Gary (Valerie) of Walworth, WI and Sharon Jacobs of Anderson, SC. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey in 2005. George's family would like to extend their gratitude to his niece, Jacque Moore, as well as the staff of VITAS Hospice for their care and support. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) with visitation beginning at 2PM. Interment will be private.
