Howard, Francis E. 90 years old of Grayslake, IL passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at The Illinois Veterans Home at La Salle, La Salle, IL. He was born July 19, 1922 in Milford, MA. He lived in Pawtucket, RI for many years, moving to Grayslake nine years ago. Francis proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII stationed in England. He then served as a Chief Master Sergeant in the Rhode Island National Guard, and worked in Human Resources as a civil employee of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Antioch Senior Center, Antioch, IL. On September 21, 1946 he married Marie Creelman. Survivors include his wife of nearly 66 years, Marie; two sons, Paul (Joanne Adams), and Stephen; his brother Robert Howard of Toronto, Canada; and three grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, and Emma. In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL.
