Dorothy Jane Ames
Age 82, of Beach Park, IL passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan. She was born on February 26, 1928 in Mannington, KY.
She retired from Abbott Labs in 1983 after more than 20 years of employment. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Waukegan and she loved to do crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her son, James Ames of Beach Park, IL; daughter, Ahna Randall of Beach Park, IL; grandchildren, Jason Ames, Justin Ames, Timothy Randall; great-grandson Joshua Aiden Ames and nephew, Henry Ames of Eldorado, IL.
She was preceded in death by husband, Henry in 2008 and granddaughter, Melissa Ann Ames in 1969.
Memorial services will be held 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, IL with visitation from 12:00 noon until time of services only. Interment is Private.
