Pumala, Deborah D. 57, of Zion, died peacefully after a courageous fight with a long illness, at home, on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Deborah born August 4, 1954, in Aiken, South Carolina, and graduated from Zion-Benton Township School in 1973. She married Dale Pumala on July 14, 1973, in Zion. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Dale; son, Christopher (Danielle) Pumala of Silver Lake, WI; grandson, Kaiden Pumala; sisters, Carla (Tom) Caccamo of Beach Pak, IL, and Kim Olsen of TX; in-laws, Brian (Joann) Pumala of Zion, IL, and Karen Goldman of Waukegan, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Floyd and Evelyn Roberts; and father-in-law, Roy Pumala. Visitation will be Monday, June 25, 2012, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church, 2935 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Please sign the online guest book at www.congdonfuneralhome.com.
