Anderson, Bonnie L. 74 years old, of Antioch, IL passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at her home. She was born September 28, 1939 in La Crosse, WI the daughter of William and Doris (Pretasky) Fries. Bonnie was raised in La Crosse, and had lived in Brockton, MA, Olathe, KS, San Diego, CA, and Norfolk, VA before settling in Lake County in 1972, making Antioch her home 16 years ago, where she was a member of St. Peter Church. She was a former member of the Lake County Contractors Association, and enjoyed writing; she especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. In the early 1980's, Bonnie retired from Dexter Midland Corp. as an executive secretary. Survivors include her children, Thomas (Tamar) Whipple of Spring Grove, IL, Linda (Robert) Ugaste of Wauwatosa, WI, and Michelle (Kevin) Graham of Spring Grove; her mother, Doris Fries of La Crosse; her siblings, William (Karen) Fries of Phoenix, AZ, Michael (the late Micki) Fries of Onalaska, WI, John Fries of Madison, WI, and Mary (Larry) Allen of Eagan, MN; her grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, John, Joshua (Beth), Christie (Drew), DJ, and Joseph; one great-grandchild, Kasen; and her dear cousin, Kay (Ron) Masak. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, William Fries, and her first husband, David Whipple. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. on Thursday. INFO 847-395-4000. Interment will be at a later date in Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse, WI.
