Yucus, William 90 years old, of Antioch, IL passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. He was born February 15, 1923 in Waukegan, IL the son of the late John and Sophie (Sauner) Yucus, and has been a longtime resident of Antioch, IL. William owned and operated Bill's Texaco in Loon Lake for 30 years. Bill was a member of the Antioch Lions Club, Northern IL Conservation Club, and the Antioch Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #525. He enjoyed bowling, going out to eat, watching the Chicago Cubs, and especially spending time with his family. On September 27, 1954 he married Florence Trefz in Waukegan, IL and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2011. Survivors include: two children: Paul (Monica) Yucus of Antioch, IL and Donna Meinen of Burlington, WI; five grandchildren: Brigit Meinen, Amanda (Ivan) Meinen, Mike (Alexis) Meinen, Matt (Julie) Yucus, and Mitch Yucus; three great-grandchildren: Michael, Trenton, and Azaria; a sister-in-law Marilyn Trefz; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by a granddaughter Malissa Meinen, son-in-law Ron Meinen, and two sisters: Stella Krisnar and Bernice Yucus.
