Nelson, Mary Lou (nee Martinez) Age 73, of Park City, IL, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan. Mary Lou was born in Waukegan on May 5, 1940 and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She worked as a cashier at Eagle Foods and retired after 30 years of employment and belonged to Women of the Moose. She loved spending time with family and friends who just adored her company as well as music and dancing. Mary Lou is survived by her sons, Don O'Reilly and Jeff (Lisa) O'Reilly, both of Wadsworth, and Shawn O'Reilly of Waukegan; daughter, Cheryl O'Reilly Bluma of Pewaukee, WI; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Farrand and Arlene Maze, both of Waukegan. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Nelson in 1999; brother, Robert Martinez; sisters, Sandy Benn and Alyce Kirkley; and grandson, Shawn O'Reilly. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the SALATA GURNEE FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee at 5:30pm with Father Patrick Rugen officiating.
