Howard leaves behind to cherish his memory: two sons, Howard, Jr. of Lake Villa, IL, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years, and Wayne Alan (Ann) of Grayslake, IL; a daughter, Valerie (Edgar) Herrmann of Tennessee; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Alex) Lucas, Melissa (Mike) Brodeur, Michael (Katie) Hansen, Matthew Hansen, and Tiffany Coia; two great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Lauren; and three nieces and nephews of Iowa and Maryland. His youngest son Michael preceded him in death in April of 1978 at the age of 19 and remains in our hearts always. Howard was a life member of the VFW Post #4308 of Lake Villa, IL and a former Post Commander. Funeral services and interment were private. Arrangements were entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, IL.
