Dreyer, Carole A. 81, of Ingleside, daughter of LeRoy E. Olsen and Anna H. (Linker) Olsen, passed away on Monday evening, July 15, 2013 at the Pavilion Nursing Home in Waukegan, Illinois. Carole was born on August 11, 1931, in Oak Park, Illinois. She attended Calvin Park High School in Chicago and she received her Associate Degree of Arts from the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois. Carole was married to George Dreyer on December 6, 1952 in Long Lake, Illinois. Carole was the president of the Lake County Homemakers Club. She worked at the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Services. She had her small aircraft pilot license. She had a great love of animals and was constantly surrounded by them throughout her life. Carole will forever be remembered for her loving and nurturing nature. She is survived by her husband, George, of 60 years; three sons, Curtis (Brenda) Dreyer of Goldendale, Washington, Chris (Jennifer) Dreyer of Silver Lake, Wisconsin, Andrew (Mandy) Dreyer of Port Angeles, Washington; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexis, Brianna, Nicholas, and Caden Dreyer. Carole is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Roy and Ralph Olsen. Private services will be held at a later date.
