Tady Karczewski

Karczewski, Tady Of Lake Villa, IL passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1929 in Poland, the son of the late Albert and Apolonia Karczewski. He was a resident of Lake Villa since 1973 moving from Chicago. Tady was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army and was a member of the Lake Villa VFW Post 4308. He was a carpenter by trade and an avid fisherman spending much of his free time fishing. He is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Krystyna (Thomas) Gockel of Lake Villa, Urszula Albrecht of Des Plaines, Thomas Karczewski of Lake Villa, and Robert Karczewski of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Paul Polewaczyk, Nichole Hart, Taron Karczewski, Cody Karczewski, Kendell Karczewski, Kurtis Karczewski, and Kaylee Karczewski; great-granddaughter, Penelope "Nella" Karczewski; and brother, Henry (Pauline) Karczewski of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his faithful companion of many years, cat Toby. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Route 83) Lake Villa, IL 60046, with Rev. Richard Yanos officiating. Memorial visitation will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 pm.
