Samuel "Sam" Badegian

Badegian, Samuel "Sam" 82, of Waukegan passed away on Wednesday, August 14,2013 at his home. He was born August 5, 1931 in Detroit, MI and had been a Waukegan resident for 78 years. Sam was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, he was a member of the Waukegan VFW Post and American Legion Post 281. Prior to retirement he had been employed as an Electronic Technician for the FAA at Midway Airport. Sam is survived by his brother, Martin (Lorraine) Badegian of Ingleside, IL; nieces and nephews, Martin L. Badegian, Lorraine H. Badegian-Sterbenz, Jane Badegian-Pira, Brenda Badegian-Ross, Nancy Badegian, Jeff Rude and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Araxy (nee Boyajian) Badegian and his twin sisters, Helen Badegian and Evelyn Rude. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 23, 2013 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME 408 N. Sheridan Rd., Waukegan. Interment, with military honors, at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 8:00 A.M. to time of service.
