He was born November 29, 1932 in Bridgeport, IL the son of the late Ralph Marion and Addaline (Wesley) Springer. Harold proudly served in the U.S. Navy, a veteran of the Korean War, aboard the USS James E. Keyes and was honorably discharged in 1956. He and his late wife, Joanne (Ohmstead) married on May 4, 1956. They built a home and raised their family in Antioch, IL; eventually settling in Granger, IN in 1990. After Joanne passed away in February of 2011, Harold relocated back to Antioch. He was a man of faith and a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and being with family and friends. He was quick to help anyone and could fix just about anything. Harold was active with PM&L Theatre in Antioch, and his favorite pastime was playing (and winning) horseshoes.
