Cyganek, Miss Elizabeth Frances Age 100 and 5 months and 11 days old of Genoa City, WI, formerly of Waukegan, IL. Passed away peacefully on April 6, 2014 at Mercy Walworth Med. Center, Lake Geneva, WI. Born October 26, 1913 in Knowlton, WI. She was employed at Buntes Candy Factory, Deep Freeze, Lake County Election Judge for 30 years, and a caregiver for many of her family members, including her niece, Terry, whom she lived with for 9 years. She was involved in many church activities, member of the Catholic woman's Club of Lake County and Queen of Peace. She was a member of the Ladies First Catholic Slovak Union. She attended Jackson grade school in Waukegan, also attended Secretarial College. Although she had no children of her own, she is survived by many nieces and nephews; great, great-great and great-great-great all over the United States. Hobbies, she loved collecting recipes, she enjoyed gardening with her niece, watching cooking shows, Lawrence Welk and Molly B. Polka party. She also enjoyed decorating the house for Halloween and dressing in costumes her niece made her. She spent the last years of her life living with her niece, Elizabeth, then her niece, Teresa (Terry). She was a loving, kind gentle woman who will be deeply missed. In spite of her age she was her niece Teresa (Terry)'s strength and support during and after her kidney transplant. Elizabeth celebrated her 100th Birthday last October, surrounded by 100's of family and friends. She received a special card and a letter with birthday wishes from President and Mrs. Obama. She was our Angel here on earth and will forever be our guardian angel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Teresa (Helik); her siblings, Mary, Anne, August, John, Joseph, Agnes and Josephine; also several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Gurnee Salata Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Church, 910 14th St., North Chicago, IL with burial to follow at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville, IL. Dhuyvetter, Eleanore 90, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Spring Meadows in Libertyville. Eleanore was born in 1924 to Albert and Theresa Grant in Ashland, WI. Eleanore graduated from Ashland High School in 1943 then moved to Waukegan, IL to work for Johns Manville. She married the love of her life, Peter Dhuyvetter, February 15, 1947. Eleanore loved to travel with relatives and friends. Birdwatching was a hobby she enjoyed for years. Left to celebrate her beautiful spirit are her children, Kenneth (Sharon) Dhuyvetter of Beach Park, IL, Julie (William) Kirkham of Libertyville, IL and Kathy (Tom) Davidson of Lake Bluff, IL; grandchildren, Sandra Dhuyvetter, Peter Dhuyvetter, Nicole (Jared) Borrenpohl, Charles (Janine) Kirkham and Sarah Davidson; great-grandchildren, Ava, Connor and Hadley Kirkham, Greycin, Stricklyn and Brewton Borrenpohl; survived by her cousin, Carol Caudill of Michigan. She was preceded in death by husband, Peter. Her love and commitment have influenced us tremendously, and we are sure that Heaven is a little more fun with her there. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12 in the Chapel of Ascension Cemetery, 1920 W. Buckley Rd., Libertyville, where her family will receive friends 1/2 hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff of Spring Meadows Reflections for the wonderful care she received for the past two years and the Rainbow Hospice for the compassionate care during the last days of her life. Earls, Mary Ann (nee Bell) Was born on March 12, 1948 in Waukegan, Illinois to Arthur Lee and Mary Elizabeth Bell. She was the 5th of 10 children to that union. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Aaron Earls, Sr. on April 17, 1976. She was blessed with 3 children: Sonja M. Emziah (James), Krystal M. Earls, and Aaron Earls, Jr. She accepted the Lord at an early age. Mary Ann joined First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Jonas Porter. Mary Ann was the proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren, Ebonee N. Emziah, Xaviar J. Emziah, Zachary W. Emziah, Janae E. Jones and one great-grandchild, Jerimiah W. Emziah. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Aaron Earls, Sr.; father, Arthur Lee Bell; mother, Mary Elizabeth Bell; and brother, Cecil R. Bell. She was a member of Emblem Chapter #140 Order of the Eastern Stars, Past Worthy Grand Matron, North Shore Assembly #59 Order of the Golden Circle, Past Loyal Lady Ruler Heroines of Jericho, North Shore Court #73, Past Most Ancient Matron James E Anderson #4, Ladies of Circle of Perfection Shawall Court #4 Daughters of Isis, Past Illustrious Commandress, Past Imperial Deputy of the Oasis, Waukegan Waukegan Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta - Six Degrees of Determination Spring Line 2006 Waukegan Uptown Lion's Club and the Top Ladies of Distinction Mary Ann departed this life on April 3, 2014. She enjoyed working with others and serving her community. Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory: 3 sisters, Antoinette F. Graham, Annette A. Glover and Delores Greenwood (Mark); 5 brothers, Arthur C. Bell (Sandra), DeCount Bell Sr. (Brenda), Frederick A. Bell, Michael A. Bell, and James A. Bell; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends. Fischer, Lennard 88 years old of Pekin, IL formerly of Antioch, IL passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice House, Peoria, IL. He was born June 20, 1925 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Alfred and Ethel (Henke) Fischer, living in Twin Lakes for 10 years before settling in Antioch in 1948. He graduated from Wilmot High School and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Before his retirement in 1991, Lennard began his career at Fischer & Gauger Ice & Fuel Oil, later working for Grass Lake Lumber Co for 15 years and retiring from Hill-Behan Lumber. Lennard was a member of St. Ignatius Episcopal Church, Antioch, IL where he was an usher for many years, the Teamsters Union Local #301, and AARP. On January 17, 1948, he married Betty Hanke in Antioch, IL. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Betty; a daughter, Jill (Bob) Carter of Pekin, IL; two grandchildren, Julie (Schimmelpfennig) Gianessi of Pekin and James Schimmelpfennig of Peoria; two great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lennard was preceded in death by a son, James Fischer; two siblings, Bernice Gauger and Donald Fischer; and stepmother, Edna Fischer. Mass of Resurrection will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at St. Ignatius Episcopal Church, 500 Depot St. Antioch, IL 60002, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch, IL.
