Stapleton-Harvey, Sandi H. "Grammy" Passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at her home in Naperville. She was born on January 19, 1942 in Brookfield, IL to Elmer and Helen Pavlet. She graduated from Riverside High School in Brookfield in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, William "Bill" R. Stapleton in 1960 and began her family. For twenty-one years, they raised five lovely children and moved from Cicero to Naperville to give them the best possible life. As a family, they loved spending summers at the campground and enjoying time together. After Bill's untimely death, she married Alex H. Harvey Jr. in a beautiful ceremony in her backyard on Douglas Avenue. They enjoyed 29 years together before losing Alex in 2013. Throughout her life, Sandi was an avid gardener, serving in Naperville Garden Club. Additionally, she was a thirty-year member of the Naperville Woman's Club, sharing all of her gifts and talents for Cup-of-Cheer, to the Fine Art Walk, and much more. Most recently, Sandi spent as much time as possible with family, swimming and sharing stories. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Elmer and Helen Pavlet; her husbands, William "Bill" Stapleton and Alexander "Alex" Harvey Jr.; and daughter, Elizabeth Stapleton. She is survived by her sister, Nanci Stahl; her sons, William (Stephanie), David (Kimberly), Brian (Julie) and Steve (Leslie) Stapleton; her stepson, Alexander III (Denise) Harvey; and stepdaughter, Eva Marie Harvey; her grandchildren, Jessica, Connor, Jacob, Olivia, Aden, Colin, Emma, Kylee, MacGregor, Kady and Declan Stapleton; step-granddaughters, Amanda and Alicia Rogers. Nothing was more important to her than family and she will be dearly missed. A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home and Crematory, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville, IL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, then proceed to a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville, IL. Interment will immediately follow at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to The Christopher Reeve Foundation. Info 630-355-0264.
