Page, Kenneth "Ken" G. 59, of Plano passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 of cancer. Ken was a well known community member who loved Halloween and all things related. He was a member of the Jaycees for many years. During his time with the Jaycees, Ken met many wonderful people and participated in numerous fundraisers including his favorite, the Jaycees Haunted House. He was chairman for this project many years in Batavia and St. Charles. Ken moved to Plano and started putting on a haunted maze in his own yard during the Halloween season which grew over the years to include nearly the entire neighborhood. Ken celebrated his 13th season in Plano this past year. Ken also loved animals and was his wife's sidekick at her business, JoAnn's Grooming. He was also involved with Eye On the Sparrow Rescue. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, John and LaVerne Page. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn McMullen; daughters, Kendra (James) Dossett, Albia, IA, Emily (Ronald) Hinton, Mindy (Walter) Newburry all of Aurora; their mother, Jackie Page, Batavia; step-son, Adam Haas of Memphis, TN; 5 grandchildren, Andrew and Josie Dossett, Olivia and Benjamin Hinton and Emma Newburry; his siblings, Jim (Cam) Page, Glen Ellyn, Patty Lundy, Wheaton, Don (Deb) Page, Elmhurst and David (Wendy) Page, Glen Ellyn; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Bob) Shamburg, Morrison and Mary Paxton, Erie, as well as many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends especially Sam, John and Larry. The family would like to thank Rush Copley, Hillside Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yorkville and All Seasons Hospice for their support and care of Ken.
