Vanden Berge, Mildred C. "Millie" (nee Vander Schaaf), age 76, a resident of Naperville, IL since 2000, formerly of Highland, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at her home after a ten year struggle with cancer. She was born May 30, 1936 in Rock Valley, IA. Millie is survived by her husband of 53 years, James C. Vanden Berge, PhD, Thomas (Nancy) Vanden Berge of Allen, TX and Paul (MaryJane) Vanden Berge of Fort Lauderdale, FL; four grandchildren, Jordan, Toby, Elena and Grant. She is also survived by a brother, James Vander Schaaf of Portland, ME and three nieces. Millie received her undergraduate degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI and her MBA from Northwestern University. She was employed for 20 years with Northern Trust Bank, Chicago, retiring as Vice President of Special Assets. Millie was an active, faithful member of the Christ Church of Oak Brook, serving as an elder and with various local mission and outreach ministries. A private visitation will be held at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services,44 S.
