McLean, Michael Edward 51, Naperville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Edward Hospital. He was born October 11, 1961 in Huntington, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burl and Mary Holbrook and Charlene and Hans Dickerson. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Stephanie Ward McLean and his children, Madison and Connor. Michael is also survived by his grandmother, Peggy Ferris; his mother, Aileen Kelly; father, Kelly McLean; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his in-laws, Jerry and Carol Ward, Dane and Jenny Ward; his nephews, Wil and Wesley Ward; and his devoted pooch, Lady. He is also survived by his birth family, the Dickersons of Huntington, West Virginia including his father, half-sister, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Michael graduated from Cooper City High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida; he attended Florida State University and received his BFA in Theatre Performing Arts from Florida Atlantic University. He received an MFA in acting and directing from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He fought a courageous battle against cancer, always maintaining his sense of humor and his love for life that included his family, friends, live theatre and the Miami Dolphins. He was known as an avid reader and for his great intellect. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edward Foundation for the Cancer Center. A celebration of Michael's life will be held later in the summer.
