Lenard, Margaret Lillian (nee Kranik) Age 91, resident of Naperville since 1966, passed away peacefully Monday, May 5, 2014. She was born March 14, 1923 in Gary, Indiana to George and Mary (Mehok) Kranik. Margaret was a graduate of Sacred Heart School in Lisle and Indiana University. A member of Zeta Tau Alpha, she and her sister, MaryAnn Collins received their Violet Pins as fifty year members. Margaret worked for the Civil Service during WWII, and retired from Moser Lumber in Naperville. A resident of Sunrise of Naperville North, she was honored with the title of Lead Volunteer at Sunrise of Naperville North; a dedicated volunteer as a Pink Lady at Edward Hospital, served for over 20 years as a Du Page County Election Judge, was a member of the Naperville Newcomers, and the Elk Lodge #425 in Elkhart, Indiana. Margaret was a founding member of St. Raphael Church, where she was involved with the initial bereavement committee and the early bowling and bridge groups. Margaret loved her daughters, Lynn (John) Corsiglia and Jan (Bob) Haake; her grandchildren, Jane (David) Bockel, Laura (Adam) Schraw and Philip (Blair) Haake; and her great-grandchildren, Lily and Zoe Bockel and Wyatt, Garrett and Audrey Schraw. She is survived by her sister and special friend, Mary Ann (Andrew) Collins. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband of 66 years, Harry R. Lenard; her parents; her sister Lillian Kranik, and her brother, George Kranik. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Raphael Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville. Interment private.
