Piper, Albert D. "Al" Age 92, a resident of Naperville since 1985, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Naperville. He was born in January 19, 1921 in Antrim, New Hampshire. Al was an Army veteran of W.W.II serving in the Artillery and Infantry Division. He earned the Purple Heart for his service during the Normandy Invasion. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Naperville and in his spare time enjoyed golf and bowling. Al is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years Josephine (nee Gaggiano) who he married on June 22, 1946, his son Dennis (JoAnn) Piper, two grandchildren, Jamie Copher and Keith (Suzanne) Piper and four great-grandchildren, Korryne and McKenzie Copher and Megan and Kayley Piper. Many nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St. Naperville. Interment private. Memorials to honor Al's memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or any veteran's organization. Arrangements are being made by the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home and Crematory, 516 S.
