Vivan Boersma

Boersma, Vivian Anspach 92, died on May 12, 2013. She was born February 24, 1921. She taught High School English and Drama at Naperville Community High School in Naperville, Illinois. Vivian loved travel and ran senior class trips with her husband, Henry, who owned travel businesses in Illinois and Michigan. She especially enjoyed the house that she and Henry built on Melody Lane on the DuPage River. Vivian was the proud mother of daughters, Dr. P. Dee Boersma, Professor of Biology at U. of WA in Seattle and Marcy Boersma Chirdon, an artist of Charlotte, North Carolina. Vivian is survived by Dr. Dee Boersma and her partner, Dr. Sue Moore of Seattle, Marcy and Gregory Chirdon, and grandsons, Christopher and Andrew Chirdon of New York. Contributions in Vivian's memory may be made to the Vivian and Henry Boersma Scholarship Fund at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA 98195-1800.
