Valladolid, Luis A. "Louie" Age 68, of Joliet, IL sacrificed his life demonstrating his true heroism. Luis departed this life on December 3, 2012 with his loving family at his side. He was a lifelong resident of Joliet, born July 6, 1944 in Michoacan, Mexico. Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen Garibay Valladolid, of 49 years; devoted children, Lourdes (Jerardo) Luna, Bulmaro (Teresa) Valladolid, Giberto (Robin) Valladolid, Raul (Teri) Valladolid, Maria (Luis) Cordova, and Jose (Crystal) Valladolid; adored grandchildren, Eric, Ivette, Tony, Serena, Santino, Thalia, Giovanni, Raul Jr., Isabella, Frankie, Luis Angel, Jocelyn, Gabriella, Lilyanna, and Leeam; cherished sisters, Otilia, Alicia, Elena, and Guadalupe. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, (Luis Alvarado and Catalina Herrera) and his sister, (Maria). Luis not only enjoyed spending time with his dearly loved family, but also loved being employed on the river to repair barges. He recently retired from Illinois Marine Towing. When not working, Luis enjoyed going to rodeos, riding his bike, sightseeing, and spending time with his precious grandchildren.
