Pena-Rodriguez, Lucila "Pita" Age 87 passed away peacefully Saturday, June 16, 2012 surrounded by her family. Born September 16, 1924 in Houston, Texas and a lifetime resident of Joliet. She loved cooking, shopping, going to church and spending time with her family and friends. Pita had a big heart. She will be loved and missed by all those who knew her. Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Pena; four sons, John, Joseph, Edward and Jesse, one daughter; Mary; three brothrers, Antonio, Beto and John; one sister, Margarita, also her long time companion Chiquito. Survived by one son, Antonio (Joan) Pena; one daughter, Minerva Lopez; two sisters, Victoria and Rita, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. Also numerous nieces, nephews family members and friends. Pita's family would like to thank all those from Joliet Area Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
