Porter III, James Rex Age 15, of Joliet, in God's plan, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 1, 2012. He was starting his sophomore year at Joliet West High School. Played for his beloved Joliet Jaguars Hockey Team, hockey was his passion, he started skating when he was 3 years old. An avid hockey and Blackhawks fan. He loved his mom and dad so much, and was a great son, brother and nephew. Everyone said he had the world's biggest smile, never had an enemy, made everyone laugh instantly, was the light of the room from birth and was a great listener and supporter. Survived by his parents, Gordon (Kari) Porter, and Dawn (Gary) Prusinski; his sister, Kelsey Porter; three step-brothers Joseph Prusinski, Tyler Heather and Dakotah Hebler; his step-sister, Savannah Schultz; his grandparents, Gloria (Larry Casper) Mickulas, Mary E. Williams and Edward J. (Donna) Mickulas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, he was loved by all. Funeral services Monday, August 6, 2012, 10 a.m. at the Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C., 108 Illinois St., Lemont. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Lockport.
