Sanchez, Genaro S. "Geno" Loving husband, beloved father and grandfather, and loyal friend passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, Ill. at the age of 87. He was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico on April 5, 1924. Genaro was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Sanchez, who passed away earlier this year. He is survived by four children, Carmen (Mickey) Hudgins, Belen Sanchez Leos, Filimon (Stephanie) Sanchez and Maria (Rocco) Pazienza, and 15 grandchildren, Jonathan Sanchez Leos, David (Stephanie) Hudgins, Melinda Hudgins, Ginelle Sanchez Leos, Geno, Patrick, Jake and Neil Sanchez, Matthew Pazienza, Isabela Byerly, Alex and Elena Pazienza, Sabena Byerly, Sophia and Gabriella Sanchez. Genaro's sense of selflessness, work ethic and wisdom inspired all who knew him. His legacy will forever survive in the accomplishments of those he quietly supported throughout his life. Geno will also be remembered for his sincerity and the long-loving relationships he nurtured until his last days. We hope that his family and friends may take with them the lessons and love that he gave, unconditionally, during his long and accomplished life. His strong inner constitution continues to guide those he has inspired. Although most of his adult life was spent residing in Joliet, he most recently resided in Chicago with his youngest daughter, Maria Pazienza. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A procession to follow from the funeral home to St. Joseph's Church, 416 N. Chicago St. Joliet, for a Mass of Christian burial at 12:00 pm. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 23060 W. Jefferson St., Joliet.
