Fredericks, Elmer "Bud" L. Passed away at Joliet Area Community Hospice, Thursday, July 19, 2012. Age 83 years. Survived by wife of 49 years, Shirley A. Fredericks (nee Botka); daughter, Jodie McDonald; three sons, Bradley, John and James (Maria) Fredericks; A granddaughter, Alexa Rae Fredericks; His sister, Mary Ann Hoffman. Preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Marie Fredericks; two sisters, Viola Marchand and Helen Decker; six brothers, Joseph, Simon, Ernnest, Frank, Charles and Lester Fredericks. Elmer retired from the Wedgewood Golf Course where he was a grounds keeper for many years. He formerly worked at the Chicken Man in Joliet. Veteran of the W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Elmer was a Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing and family gatherings. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Monday, July 23 at 12:30 P.M. Pastor Greg Munyon officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Stoke Association will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
