Bollero, Ludwig L. "Vic" Age 90, of Lockport, passed away peacefully at the Park at Plainfield on Sunday, February 3, 2013, born in South Wilmington, Illinois to the late Louis and Catrina Bollero, he was a resident of Lockport most of his life and was a graduate of Lockport Township High School Class of 1939. Survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 50 years, Veronica; daughter, Donna(Henderson) Keenan; and grandchildren, Colleen, Chad and Chris, all of Baton Rouge, LA, Robert Murphy; and nephew, Rolin (Patty) Bolattino of Lockport. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia (Henderson) Murphy; his parents and sisters, Angelina Bolattino, Phyllis (Bolattino) Karstens, Mary Bolattino; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Margaret Bolattino; and nephew, Roger Bolattino. Vic was a retired air traffic controller (1973), served in World War II Air Corps, member of many bank boards, member of the Will County Board, served on the Lockport City Council, served as Treasurer of Lockport Township High School for 35 years, member of the American Legion Post #18, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5788, Lockport Moose Lodge #1557, former member of the Lockport Rotary and in his retirement was a devoted starter/ranger at Springbrook Golf Course in Naperville, Illinois. Memorial mass Saturday, February 9, 2013, 10am at St. Dennis Church, 1201 S. Washington Street, Lockport, Illinois. In keeping with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and private interment will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
