Chancey, William L. 56, passed away on November 29, 2012 in Homestead, Florida, after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Homestead, and also his sister, Cheryl (Greg) Sallese of Joliet, and brother, Wade Chancey of Braidwood. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Deona, Lauren, Joey and Billy. Survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles and also his close childhood friend, Tony Rathbun. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Chancey and his niece, Taraca. Billy grew up in the Plainfield and Joliet area and has resided in Florida for the past thirty years. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He loved fishing, football, Nascar racing, and his family and will be truly missed.
