Walton, Virgil M. Age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family at Silver Cross Hospital. Born in Wynne, Arkansas. A graduate of Menassa High School (Memphis, TN), attended Roosevelt University (Chicago, IL). Joliet resident for 67 years. World War II
Navy veteran, retired Reynolds Aluminum after 41 years of employment. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley; two sons Virgil Jr. (Cheryl) of Carbondale, IL and Darnell (Gardenia), daughter Marsha (Harry) both of Denver, CO; brothers Dr. Vernon (Velma) and David (Lois) both of Sacramento, CA and three grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father and mother Norman and Estelle Walton; brothers Dr. Norman Walton Jr., Jewell Walton; sister Hortense Jefferson. Visitation Tuesday, September 3rd 4pm-8pm at Range Funeral Home and Wednesday 10am at the church. Funeral Services Wednesday, September 4th at 11am at Second Baptist Church. Rev. Larry V.
