Longhini, Richard Andrew Richard "King of the Castle" Longhini, 82, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013. Richard was born in Joliet, IL on July 17, 1930. He graduated from Lockport Township High School, where he lettered in three varsity sports. He served in the United States Marine Corps
before retiring from Union Oil 76 after forty years of service. He played softball for a number of years and was an avid bowler and golfer. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose
, the American Legion, and VFW
. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Survivors include his wife, Margaret (nee Costello) of St. Petersburg; children, Joseph of Orland Park, Helen (Todd) Kulhan of Manhattan, Richard of New Lenox and Michelle (Anthony) Nemec of New Lenox; sister, Anna Mae (John) Lukancic of Crest Hill and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by parents, Valentine and Lillian (Ziesemer) Longhini and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A military service will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL on Monday, May 20, at 2:00 p.m.
