

Clementi, Richard J. Born on May 15, 1933 to the late Louis and Louisa Clementi in Joliet. Rich has been a Joliet resident all his life. Rich's death was preceded in death by his wife, Adele (Barney) Clementi; his parents, Louis and Louisa Clementi; his sister, Doris at a young age, and his cousin and best friend, Louie Colognesi. Rich is survived by his partner of the last 20 years, Dixie Shrum (his angel); his 2 daughters, Barbara (Stan) Motorzesku and Doris (Joe) Marquez and a son, Richard A. (Pam) Clementi and 4 grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly, Angela and Anthony and 2 great-grandchildren. Rich is also survived by his brothers, Angelo (Mary) Clementi and Jim Clementi (Sally Conley); numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Rich's cousins survive, John and Norma Colognesi and his very close friends, Don and Ellen Seeman. He was in the U.S. Navy during the
Korean War and was on the USS Baton and the USS Boxer. When Rich returned from the Navy he married Adele Barney. Rich and his wife and children traveled a lot with their camper throughout the U.S. Later Rich traveled by car and plane with Dixie, his family and friends to Disney World, Las Vegas and Wisconsin Casinos. He was a huge Cubs and Bears fan. Rich volunteered at Guardian Angel Home Bingo for several years along with his brother, Jim. Rich retired from the City of Joliet water department, after 40 years of service, retired from a part time job with St. Joseph Medical Center and was a member of Holy Family Church in Shorewood. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Our Lady of Angels, 1201 Wyoming Ave, Joliet with mass at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. till time of mass.
