Dougherty Sr., Linley T. "Duke" Age 89, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 with his family close by. Born and raised in Joliet, IL. A graduate of Joliet Township High School, DeVry and Greer Institute. A WWII
veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy
. He founded several businesses, most notably "Dougherty's Dairy Products" and was known in the community as "The Milkman". Preceded in death by his father, Timothy Dougherty; his mother, Hazel Ingram; brother, Robert Dougherty, Sr.; daughter Marilyn Johnson; two grandsons, Karl Dougherty, and Rodney McCormick and; one granddaughter, Angel French. Survived by his beloved children; Lynda McCormick of Phillips Ranch, California; Hazel Jones of Midland, Michigan; Suzzonne (Stan) Wilkerson of Crete, Illinois; Linley Dougherty, Jr. (Starla) of Chino Hills, California; Ida Mose`, Roslyn (Frank) Brady; Tonya (Kevin) French, and Donovan Shelby, all of Joliet, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his brother, William "Billy" Dougherty of Robbins, Illinois, and a sister, Adele Rogers of Minneapolis, Minnesota and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Minor-Morris Funeral Home, 112 Richards St., Joliet, IL on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and visitation Tuesday, August 27, 2013 10:00 A.M. at Second Baptist Church, 156 S.
