E. Richard Dick Bade

Bade, E. Richard "Dick" Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Advocate Bromenn Hospital, Monday, October 22, 2012. Age 86. Survived by his dearest best friend, Betty Crusen; six nieces and nephews, Lynn (Robert) Sandifur, Bruce (Chris) Bade, Colleen (Jim) Morriss, Sheri (deceased-Dick) Spader, Kenneth Michael (Ann) Coulter and Kevin (Mary) Coulter; Brother-in-law to Ken (Madeline) Coulter; Numerous great-nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (nee Coulter, January 7, 1999) Bade; his parents, Elmer and Laura (nee Sheets) Bade; a brother, Edward L. Bade and a sister-in-law, Jane J. Bade. Born October 14, 1926 in Kankakee, IL. Married Mary Lou Coulter, December 23, 1950. Graduate of University of Illinois Class of 1950, receiving a Bachelor degree in Economics and Business Administration. Member of the Beta Theta Pi. Veteran of the US Army during WWII serving on the South Pacific (1945-1947). Retired from Vulcan Materials in 1987. Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, serving as an elder and very active with youth in the church. Volunteer at Silver Cross, active in the Loners on Wheels Camping Club and the Westminster Wonderer's. Dick loved camping and traveling in his RV. He was a loyal University of Illinois alumnus who enjoyed the Fighting Illini football and basketball. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Silver Cross Hospital or the will be appreciated. Visitation Friday from 3-7 PM.
