Arthur D. Cwudzinski Sr.

Cwudzinski Sr., Arthur D. "Artie" Age 88, at rest Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Willow Falls. Loving father of Dorothy 'Dodie' (Michael) Regis and Arthur (Donna) Cwudzinski; dearest grandfather of Erin Dzwinel, Susan Regis, Connie (Joel) McGrath, Curtis (Heather) Cwudzinski; great-grandfather of Johnathan, and Lily Dzwinel, and Addison McGrath; one sister, Lorraine (late John) Burzawa; one sister-in-law, Lillian (late Harry) Cwudzinski; numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (nee Kobe) Cwudzinski (1993), parents Anton and Constance (nee Konieczka) Cwudzinski; two sisters Evelyn and Florence Cwudzinski; two brothers Raymond and Harry Cwudzinski. Arthur was born in Joliet and was a lifelong resident. He retired in 1970 as a supervisor from Reynolds Aluminum after 24 years of service and volunteered at St. Joseph Park for 25 years. Arthur was a WWII United States Army Veteran serving in the European Theatre and the Battle of the Bulge, 75th Infantry Division. He was a life member of Cantigny Post #367 VFW, Rivals Club, Northwest Club, St. Francis KSKJ #29 and St. Joseph Holy Name Society. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the entire staff at Willow Falls, especially Ann his "Polish Princess," Joliet Area Community Hospice, especially Mary and Linda, and all the continuous care staff from the Maximum Agency. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arthur's name may be made to St. Joseph Park renovation or Joliet Area Community Hospice. A Celebration of Arthur's life will begin on Friday January 25, 2013 at 9:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to St. Joseph Church of Joliet, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
