Talbot, Linda (nee Warren), of Elgin, passed away November 22 at her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born Feb. 19, 1951 in Chicago, the second daughter of Alexander and Janalyce (Jennings) Warren. She married Kirk Talbot in Chicago in 1977. She is survived by her husband, Kirk, her children, Ross, Kevin, Kristin (James) Nelson, and Jessica, and her sister Carol (Warren) Goodman (Cobden, IL). She attended St. Henry's primary and St. Scholastica Academy in Chicago. She became a certified medical assistant, and was actively involved with the Catholic Church in several capacities. She was an organist, singer, music teacher, and choir director through the years at St. Henry's and St. Margaret Mary in Chicago, St. Simeon's in Bellwood, St. Peter Damien in Bartlett, as well as St. Mary's and St. Laurence in Elgin. Helped launch Camp Crossroads in Elgin, later serving on the Illinois board for the American Diabetes Association. Memorial mass will be held on Saturday November 26, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8:00 P.M. at the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., (Rt. 31), Elgin IL 60123. Donations can be made to the Les Turner ALS Foundation in lieu of flowers.
