She made most of her own clothing while in college so she could have the latest fashions. After graduating, she moved to the Chicago area and started teaching Home Economics, where she met her husband Jim.
She quit teaching after having her daughter and began selling antiques, one of her life's passions. One of the most cherished things she did was travel to France with her daughter for many years bringing back antiques to sell. She also traveled throughout the United States exploring small towns and buying beautiful things.
Some of her favorite things were small towns, restoring old homes, and decorating. She was a lover of animals, antiques, art, and all things beautiful.
Her beloved family consists of her husband, James; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Gustave; and brother David (Kathie) McIntyre.
