Hudgens, William Philip March 11, 1934 February 6, 2012. Phil is survived by his wife, 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Phil was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois. In 1979, he relocated to San Clemente, California with his wife, Pat, where they raised 2 daughters and built his business, Hudgens Heating and Air Conditioning. In 1997, Phil and Pat relocated one last time to Baja California, Mexico. He continued working his trade but added designer and builder to the list, building several homes on the Baja coast. He loved what he did and was proud of his 50 plus year career, only stopping 5 years ago due to illness. Phil's conversations about his world tour in the Navy during the Korean War, his years of officiating high school football and basketball, a brief endeavor in the horse racing business and his crazy love for college ball are memories his loved ones will always cherish. Phil maintained a close relationship with several buddies from his EHS days. "Nels" was the glue that held them all together and had planned a trip for 5 of them to meet in San Diego in March. Phil was honored and excited about their visit. Phil and Pat's youngest daughter was married last September. It was unknown at the time that this would be a double blessing. He was surrounded by his children, grandchildren, his loving sister, nephews, niece, extended family and friends. His family was able to experience his strength, loyalty, honesty and love one last time together. He will forever be deeply loved and missed.
