Wilharm, Marilyn J. Of Elgin, 88, passed away at home. Marilyn was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church and School. She was active in the Altar Guild and choir, volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital and at Shop and Share Resale Shop (Ecker Center). She was a graduate of Valparaiso University and worked many years for Dr. Harold Perry. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marilyn (Katie) Wilharm; 5 nephews, Tim (Tammy) Wright, Todd Wright, Stan (Laura) Wilharm, Jeffrey Wilharm, Joseph Wilharm; 3 nieces, Claudia (John) Lainson, Kelly (Dennis) Calegar, Linda (Tim) Childers; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Minnie; her sisters, Ardith and Carol; her brother, Vernon; and her nephew, Steven. Arrangements are made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Visitation will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin on Friday, July 25 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the .
