Vollman, Arlan W. Age 79, of Oswego, IL passed away on January 20, 2014 at Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Naperville, IL. He was born on December 18, 1934 in Elgin, IL the son of Walter and Ella (Geils) Vollman. Arlan was united in marriage on July 3, 1954 in Elgin, IL to the former Marge Christ and they spent the next 59 happy years of their lives together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Arlan was the business manager of Sheet Metal Workers Locals 220 & 265 in Carol Stream, IL from 1971 to 1994. He was also a sheet metal worker apprentice instructor. Arlan was a former board member of the Aurora Salvation Army and served as a member of the Fox Valley Building Trades Council. He loved golfing with his family and friends and was an avid Chicago White Sox and Green Bay Packers fan. He is survived by his wife, Marge Vollman of Oswego, IL; his children, Sandra (James Potter) Vollman of Naperville, IL, Steven (Renae) Vollman of Newark, IL, Jeffrey (Megan) Vollman of Mokena, IL and David (Linda) Vollman of Naperville, IL; his grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel, Douglas, Luke, Zack, Alexis, Brenda, and James; and his four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ella Vollman. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut St., Yorkville, IL. Interment will take place at a later date in Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, IL.
