Chamberlain, Richard "Dick" 91, of Boulder Hill passed away on November 6, 2013. Dick was born on February 27, 1922, in Hastings, Minnesota, the son of Floyd and Irene Chamberlain. He spent most of his childhood in Redwing, MN where his favorite memories were of snow "hoppers" in the winters and delicious fruit that grew along the Minnesota borders. He proudly served his country with the United States Army Air Force during WWII. Dick went on to meet his wife, Ruth G. Minor, at The University of Minnesota where he was studying Engineering and she was studying Medicine. Dick was a devoted husband and he and Ruth loved to travel and collect rocks. Of the many accomplishments in his life, Ruth was the greatest of all. They were married for 62 years before her passing in 2010. Dick worked for several airplane companies before he joined Caterpillar where he worked for 30 years. He and Ruth were longtime members of the Neighborhood Church of the Brethren where they will be remembered for their generosity and their kind-hearted souls. He is survived by his brother, Dean and his sister, Dorothy and he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth. Visitation will be on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL.
