Dumdie, Emil A. 93, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1919 in Aurora, Illinois. Emil was a lifelong resident of Aurora. He was an Army veteran of the World War II era, and was a member of the Barbara Greene Club and Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Loretta B. (Pohl) Dumdie; their three sons, James (Marjorie) Dumdie of Copperas Cove, TX and Michael Dumdie and Jeffrey (Tia) Dumdie both of Aurora; four daughters, Margaret "Peggy" (William) Hanson of Sugar Grove, Pamela Dumdie of Montgomery, Dorothea Dumdie of Aurora and Barbara (Roger) McAlister of Vero Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Mark (Angela) Dumdie, John (Christine) Dumdie, Stephanie Dumdie, Thomas Dumdie, Amy (Gene) Thompson, Julie (Pat) Curry and Cindy (Mark) LeaTrea; twelve great-grandchildren; his brother, Carl (Exie) Dumdie of Aurora; his sister, Esther Tomgate of Aurora; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Dorothea (Wagner) Dumdie; two brothers, Donald and Elmer Dumdie; and three sisters, Arlene Hayden, Elizabeth Ross and Edna Olson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. Fr. David R. Engbarth will officiate with interment in Lincoln Memorial Park.
