Toma, Alberta L. Age 68, of Oswego, IL died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 surrounded by her loving family, at her residence, following a courageous battle against breast cancer. She was born May 22, 1943 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Albert J and Freeda nee Johnston Ochsenschlager. Alberta was a member of the Class of 1961 of East Aurora High School and the Class of 1964 from the Nursing School of Copley Memorial Hospital. She continued for 20 years employment at Copley Memorial Hospital caring for the newborns of the community in Pediatric before her retirement. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. She is survived by her husband Anthony "Tony" Toma, a daughter Nancy (Peter) Hill of Sun Prairie, WI, two sons Brian Toma of Oswego, IL, Grant (Debbie) Toma of Side Lake, MN; seven grandchildren Brenden Thomsen, Jacob and Joshua Hill, Eleanor, Cora, Jacob and Joshua Toma; a brother Lloyd (JoAnna) Ochsenschlager of Aurora, Il and "The Hens" (former classmates from the nursing school). She was preceded in death by her sister Sue Beck. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 South Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM by Fr David Hankus at St Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass Oswego, IL.
