Fayfar, Stanley C. Sr. Age 91 of Aurora, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Provena Mercy Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1920 in Aurora, IL. Stanley was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII serving as an engineer, building air landing strips in Europe. Stanley was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church where he served for many years as an usher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Montgomery post of the V.F.W. and the Phoenix Club. Stanley called Bingo at St. Joseph Church for many years. He was a loving husband and father and loved all his family dearly, he will be truly missed. Survivors include his wife, Agnes (Koos) Fayfar; five children, Kathleen (Dennis) Galloway, Marlene (John G.) Aister, Stanley C. (Sally Farner) Fayfar, Jr., Larry S. (Laura) Fayfar, Gregory (Jan Mangers) Fayfar; Nine grandchildren, Christopher Galloway, Carrie (Nick) Schlosser, Nick Aister, Megan Aister, Scott (Melissa) Fayfar, Todd Fayfar, Lisa Fayfar, Sean Fayfar; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by first wife, Goldie (Sipos) Fayfar, his parents, Joseph and Mary Fayfar; three brothers, Joseph Fayfar, Albert Fayfar and Richard Fayfar. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Joseph Church at 10:00 AM Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
